While much of downtown Nashville will be focused on country music during CMA Fest week, a different scene is preparing to take over Lower Broadway.

rocknite has announced a massive all-day concert event at JBJ’s Nashville on Friday, June 5, featuring more than 25 artists across three stages. The free event will be headlined by Kentucky rock favorites Cage the Elephant and includes a lineup that spans alternative rock, indie, Americana, and emerging local acts.

Running for more than 12 hours beginning at 11:30 a.m., the takeover aims to showcase Nashville’s thriving rock community in the heart of downtown during one of the city’s busiest weekends. In addition to live performances, attendees can expect fan experiences including photobooths, flash tattoos, food, drinks, and other activities throughout the venue.

For local music fans, the event presents a rare opportunity to catch one of the region’s biggest rock bands in an intimate Broadway setting. Cage the Elephant headlines a lineup that also includes rising alternative favorites Dexter and The Moonrocks, along with Nashville-area acts such as Edgehill, Dogpark, Connor Kelly, Kitty Coen, Liam St. John, Flight Attendant, and Gabrielle Grace.

Founded in 2025, rocknite has quickly grown from a local concert series into a multi-city live music community with chapters in Nashville, New York, Chicago, and Long Beach. The organization has also expanded its presence at festivals including Bonnaroo, SXSW, and Lollapalooza while continuing to spotlight emerging artists alongside established names.

Admission is free, though organizers note that RSVPs do not guarantee entry. The event will be held at JBJ’s Nashville, located at 405 Broadway, on Friday, June 5. Music begins at 11:30 a.m. The event is open to all ages until 6:00 p.m. and becomes 21+ afterward. You can RSVP here.
