AN EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE from THE TEXAS GENTLEMEN

“There’s gonna be some pain in your life, that’s for sure,” begins “Pain,” a keyboard-heavy strut-tastic tune from TX Jelly, the glorious new album from Lonestar collective The Texas Gentleman. With their new album, released last week via New West Records, the perennial backing band has stepped squarely into center stage with TX Jelly, and we dig it, and them, the most.

Recently, we met up with the band at the forest-themed Creative Workshop in Nashville, featured in the revered 1976 documentary, Heartworn Highways, and starring the likes of Guy Clark, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle, and Townes van Zandt. Always entertaining, The Gents laid down a righteous version of “Pain” just for us, y’all. Give it a spin:
