PREMIERE: “PERIOD OF MAXIMUM EXCITABILITY” by HUMAN BUOY

Perth psych-rocker Ben McDonald, frontman of experimental band Human Buoy, cites influences ranging from David Bowie to Beck and MGMT–Human Buoy’s own eclectic tunes are truly genre-bending, a fine example of which is brand new single “Period of Maximum Excitability”.

Written in a hotel in Amsterdam, “Excitability” was inspired by a documentary about the collective conscious of the world and how the sun’s activity seems to freakishly mirror that of the population’s behavior. It’s during the solar cycle known as the “period of maximum excitability” where pivotal events such as world wars and revolutions most occur.  You learn something new every day, right?

If you’re ready for some fun, take a listen to this unique tune–without further ado, East of 8th proudly presents the international debut of “Period of Maximum Excitability” by Human Buoy.  Enjoy!
