Iowa-bred singer/songwriter Max Jury wrote his first song at 13, and at 21 is already an old soul. Influenced by the likes of Ryan Adams, Wilco, and Tom Waits, Jury calls his sound ‘“a big stew,” which also encompasses his love of rock’n’roll and British invasion bands like the Kinks as well vintage soul, modern pop and contemporary roots music.”
The EP’s first single, “Black Metal,” has been hailed by The Evening Standard as, “…another beauty, slow-paced and fragile, that doesn’t need to scream and stamp to grab attention.” Check out the studio session of “Black Metal”:
Jury, currently on tour to support his latest EP All I Want: The Sonic Factory Sessions, will be appearing with In Tall Buildings at The High Watt in Nashville on Monday, April 13th.
