Space Prom isn’t your traditional concert. In fact, it’s not so much a concert as an event.
Founded in 2018 by Nordista Freeze, Space Prom is a themed, collaborative cover night that blends spectacle, costuming, and a rotating cast.
We’re not into copy/pasting around here, but we’ll let the official description from the event page do the talking:
Nordista Freeze established Space Prom in Nashville in 2018 with the mission to reclaim prom for everyone. To maintain his claim on the throne, the mad king Freeze must plot increasingly extravagant schemes for the annual concert. Hailed by critics as “the greatest event on earth” and “the most significant experience of my life,” the stylized 80s rock review layers a powerhouse band with ravishing guest vocal performances from near and far. And for a moment, it’s as though the decorations on the walls of the venue evaporate the walls themselves, as though the costumes of the crowd uniform it. Taken all together in a collision of passage and presence, visions emerge, and the mission succeeds anew. It is yet unclear what twisted machinations Nordista Freeze intends for the upcoming event, but a source close to Freeze stated “However this turns out…[Freeze] can’t come back from this one.” Buy tickets for all of your loved ones, wear whatever the space you want to wear, and come along.
What began as a one-night event has steadily grown, and this year Space Prom expands to two nights at Basement East. It may be cliché to say it, but with Space Prom, you genuinely never know what’s going to happen next.
Night One

Night One brings together artists from different corners of the Nashville and national scenes, including Tanner Adell, whose work sits at the intersection of country and pop, The Brook & The Bluff, known for their melodic approach to indie rock, and high-energy folk from Birmingham’s Happy Landing. Additional guest performers round out the night, reinforcing Space Prom’s collaborative party scene.
Night Two

Night Two’s lineup includes Grace Bowers, whose guitar-forward playing has drawn attention well beyond Nashville, Jess Nolan, whose songwriting leans more introspective and folk-influenced, and the indie pop-rock of Edgehill. Like Night One, the lineup emphasizes contrast and collaboration.
