THE ACCIDENTALS & KABOOM COLLECTIVE: REIMAGINED LP

The Accidentals Reimagined Album Art

Sometimes, less is more. Sometimes, more is what we need. And more is what you’ll get from Reimagined, the new LP out today from acclaimed folk-pop band The Accidentals and the Kaboom Collective student orchestra.

Sav Buist and Katie Larson, who co-founded The Accidentals, met in their high school orchestra. When a classically-trained duo came to perform for their class with electrified instruments and a rock n’ roll repertoire, it inspired Buist and Larson to start a band of their own. Now, 10 years later, after major label deals, thousands of shows, and even founding a music education nonprofit, The Accidentals have literally put their money where their mouth is when it comes to their passion for music education.

The Cleveland-based Kaboom Collective gives students between the ages of 15-25 hands-on experience in scoring, arranging, recording, and more. The Accidentals entrusted the students with arranging 11 of their most beloved songs for orchestra, and the resulting album does not disappoint.

From ethereal opener “Mangrove” to the existential closer “Crow’s Feet,” each of the band’s masterpieces gets gilded with cinematic flair, and it’s brilliant. Not only is there an album, but The Accidentals are taking the show on the road – with the entire 40-piece ensemble along for the ride. The first stop is at The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland on August 3rd, check out the full list below.
