Nashville rock scene fixtures Frances & The Foundation, composed of lead vocalist and badass bassist Samantha Frances, guitarist Nathan Zumwalt, and drummer Wes Cramer, have recently been tearing up the highways and sharing their gritty brand of alt-rock with eager listeners. The trio is preparing to release their new full-length album, Nothing Is Perfect, Everything Is Fine, on June 2nd; today, the band unleashes album track “Please Please.”
“Have you ever had a moment when you felt completely connected and fully awake? Euphoric and at peace? But then you became aware that you were feeling that way, and the spell was broken,” says Frances. “When I wrote ‘Please Please’ I was thinking about how I could prolong these moments–how this is kind of what we are all living for, these little moments of pure joy and love.”
Amidst aggressively driving percussion and guitar work that shimmers like a shower of sparks, Frances delivers the song’s wistful lyrics with fire and ferocity; “Please Please” is sure to scratch all of your rock n’ roll itches.
Without further ado, East of 8th is proud to present “Please Please” by Frances & The Foundation:
