Have you ever felt aimless, stuck in a dead-end job, but yet you know in your gut that you’re destined for more? That’s the story of Christine Fink, who, along with her sister, notable singer songwriter Orenda Fink, formed punk-tinged funky soul outfit High Up.
Christine, known to regularly slay at weekend karaoke nights in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, moved to Omaha to be near her sister, who encouraged her to follow her heart and perform for people like it was her job. Literally. Now, the sisters and their band are releasing a self-titled EP on January 20th via Team Love, have announced tour dates with Eo8 fave Leopold and his Fiction, and will perform at SXSW in March.
Their new video for EP single “Two Weeks” is like the story of High Up’s journey so far, from slinging bar food in a hair net to pulling a trumpet out of a sink and letting your soul shine, this video will get you excited about not only what’s ahead for High Up, but will also inspire you to put in your two weeks’ notice and follow your own dreams.
