HEY HEY HEY!! East of 8th has partnered with our friends at Premier Booking Enterprises to curate the indie rock n’ roll extravaganza of all indie rock n’ roll extravaganzas. Consisting of four Nashville rock outfits–SWEETTALKER, That’s My Kid, Down Boy, and Super Shaker–this lineup was hand-crafted with great care just for you, beloved readers. Each day this week, we will celebrate one of these talented bands so that you can get familiar with the greatness in store for you this Friday, May 20th at Little Harpeth Brewing in Nashville. Tickets for the show are only $5! You can hardly even buy a good latte for that.
Comprised of Forrest Arnold, Abraham Fongnaly, and Jashaun Smith, Nashville’s That’s My Kid have that blues-y garage-y sound in spades, so a while back we felt it only approprate to shoot a live session with them in, well, a garage; frontman Arnold was inspired to write “If I Was Your Man”, the most Oasis-sounding song he could, and we captured it just for you, beloved readers!
Nashville’s bastion of independent radio, Lightning 100, has shown the band much rotation love, naming them Artist of the Week last spring; That’s My Kid has been working on some brand new music to tickle our ears and scratch all of our bluesy itches. Check out our live session with the band, and get excited to see them Friday night!
