RECAP: LANGHORNE SLIM & THE LAW with CLEAR PLASTIC MASKS at THE MERCY LOUNGE

Folk-rock four piece Langhorne Slim & The Law, is currently on a nationwide tour–which has included stops at the Newport Folk Festival, CBS This Morning, and the Conan O’Brien show, no big deal–to support the release of their sophomore album, “The Spirit Moves,”  an effervescent collection of his now-signature, cinematic, joyful noise, rooted in folk, soul, and blues.  Out on Dualtone Records on August 7th, 2015, the album marks his second with rock-solid band The Law, and the highly anticipated follow-up to 2012’s critically acclaimed The Way We Move. Nashville was lucky enough to have the band for two (that’s right, two!) evenings at The Mercy Lounge recently, along with blog favorite Clear Plastic Masks, and we were there to experience the excitement:

  1. I’ve been to two Langhorne Slim shows and they were both FANTASTIC. I love this band. The first of the two shows was actually my first concert ever so double the love 😛
