
“Love To Go” finds Edgehill leaning into a more immediate, upbeat corner of their indie-rock sound. Built around a punchy bassline and a propulsive groove, the track moves with purpose, landing firmly in anthem territory without tipping into excess.
There’s a looseness that reflects its origins as one of the band’s earliest songs. Reflecting on the track, the band shared, “Love To Go” was written before the members of Edgehill had even settled on the band’s name. As the second song we ever wrote, it captures the raw, anthemic energy that can only come from the excitement of starting a band. There has never been an Edgehill show without it; it’s a staple of our live set and has grown into a true fan favorite. That’s why it feels especially fitting that its release coincides with the announcement of our first full-length record. There’s something undeniably poetic about that.”
Edgehill’s forthcoming debut album, Ode To The Greyhouse, pulls its name from the house where the band first began shaping their sound, a detail that mirrors the project’s emphasis on process and momentum over reinvention. “Love To Go” fits naturally into that arc, serving as an early starting point the band is now building on with their debut album.
