“DAYLIGHT” – THE GLORIOUS SONS

With their new single “Daylight,” JUNO Award-winning band The Glorious Sons ushers in these new roaring 20’s (emphasis on the “roar”), bestowing upon the eager masses a new dose of their high-octane brand of rock n’ roll. With its searing guitar riffs and lead singer Brett Emmons’ gut-punching intonation, “Daylight” is fire from start to all-too-soon finish.

“TIMING” – ALISA AMADOR

Today, Boston-based soul-pop songcrafter Alisa Amador released the led single to her debut mini-album Narratives. The six-track effort is a deep look at a person stumbling through life in two languages—English and Spanish—and being in many states of mind about it all. “Timing” is about that all-too-familiar predicament of finding love but realizing the timing just isn’t right. Amador’s crystalline vocal delivery set against soul-soothing grooves and playful lyrics will make your heart skip a beat. Don’t miss this one.

“DON’T MAKE A PROMISE” – EMILY DAVIS AND THE MURDER POLICE

“‘Don’t Make A Promise’ gave us the opportunity to vent about the utter heartbreak and confusion that comes with being ghosted,” relates Emily Davis, frontperson of El Paso’s favorite folk-punk band Emily Davis and The Murder Police, of their new single. “Don’t Make A Promise,” a desert-tinged sonic nod to spaghetti westerns of yore, features Davis’ powerhouse vocals and the band’s signature hardcore energy. Like a runaway train after a wild west shootout, EDMP shows us a different side of the Texas music scene, and we’re here for every minute of it.

“FALL AGAIN” – LENA MINDER

Berlin-by-way-of-Zurich singer/songwriter Lena Minder puts a theatrical touch on folk music in her new single “Fall Again.” While lyrically straightforward, the interesting aspects of “Fall Again” lie in its textures. Minder methodically builds atmosphere with unconventional pieces of an intricate, sonic puzzle, mesmerizing and captivating as it delicately dances across the ear drums. You won’t be able to listen just once.

“PARADISE” – JUNACO

“Paradise,” the new slice of indie rock sunshine from LA-based outfit Junaco, is from their forthcoming debut EP Blue Room, set for release on July 9th via Side Hustle Records, is about shifting your perspective—a skill lots of us got better at over the trials and tribulations of the last year. Lead singer Shahana Jaffer’s lilting vocals bear the perfect blend of hope and melancholy. With its tight production and head-bobbing groove, “Paradise” is a glorious introduction to what’s sure to be a refreshing summer.
