Yak keyboard no hatUK trio Yak have been wreaking havoc across Europe these past few months, and this fall will treat audiences to a new 7″ EP produced by Pulp’s Steve Mackey. The No EP is set for release on November 13th via Third Man Records and is available for pre-order now. The lead single and title track is streaming on SoundCloud after premiering on Noisey who say, “This snarly, overdriven cut from the band’s latest 7” ‘No’ takes cues from Jack White‘s roster of blues-rock, but bitten into with a gutter-punk fang and a growling British accents.” Described as “the UK’s most messed up and exciting new band” (Matt Wilkinson, NME/Apple), in the coming weeks Yak will bring their raw and hard hitting live set to CMJ 2015 for their first ever shows in the U.S.
