While Nashville is still known first for country and gritty DIY rock, the cityโs electronic scene is exploding. Just look at the stacked bookings at The Pinnacle and the Skydeck, or the sold-out crowd at the recent Deep Tropics Music Festival. Global EDM names that once passed us by are now putting Music City on their tour maps.
But the real story is in the small venues and the underground. Nashvilleโs electronic foundation was built in tight-knit rooms like The Office and The Night We Met, and in venues that took a chance on the sound early: The Cowan, Dirty Little Secret, The Golden Door โ plus a few basements you only find through word of mouth. This is where the local scene sharpened its identity and raised up its own growing slate of artists.
Her live set recordings have become a regular listen for us โ the kind you revisit again and again. That DJ is MOLLYWATER. And judging by her growing local and regional calendar, weโre far from the only ones paying attention.
Who Is MOLLYWATER?

Growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida, MOLLYWATER was shaped by two constants โ the ocean and music. That mix of rhythm and flow carries into her sound today, echoed in both her name and her style behind the decks.
Now based in Nashville, sheโs thrown herself into the cityโs underground electronic scene as both DJ and producer. Inspired by RL Grime, Flume, Alison Wonderland, and Skrillex, she only began producing in 2023 but hit fast. Her debut (and self-produced) single โBeat Rockโ with Station Underground Records broke into the top five of Beatportโs Dubstep Top 100 and marked a strong start with thousands of plays across streaming platforms. Her follow-up, โTil Iโm Dead,โ a collaboration with TrebleTina on Circus Records, went even further โ charting #1 overall on the Dubstep Charts and top five on Beatportโs Dubstep Singles.
Since then, sheโs been direct support for Alleycvt, shared bills with Crankdat, Jantsen, and Space Laces, and stepped up alongside What So Not, Levity B2B Crankdat, and ATLiens in Nashville. Her sets hit hard but move with a sense of fluidity โ heavy bass, sharp transitions, and the kind of push and pull that keeps a crowd locked in until the last drop.
MOLLYWATER Live Recordings: Full Sets Worth Hitting Replay

One thing that sets MOLLYWATER apart is that she shares her full live sets โ not just quick clips, but the complete ride. These soundboard recordings showcase the energy and progression of her mixing style with clarity, letting listeners experience the set exactly as she shaped it. Weโve gone back and forth on which oneโs our favorite. We narrowed it down to two, but weโll let you decide:
From Live Sets to Original Tracks: MOLLYWATERโs Producer Debut

Every DJ starts by flipping and remixing familiar IDs into something new, but MOLLYWATER is already carving her own lane. Her first singles bring the same drive and creativity she shows behind the decks, proving sheโs just as much a producer and creative talent as a performer. With more music in the works, nowโs the time to follow her on Spotify to hear the latest as it drops.
